Beaten dog, dumped dogs and sick kittens

Four Paws recently came across this poor dog lying in a field next to Diepsloot Township. The dog was badly beaten and left for dead.

She is now recovering at their vet, Dr Shelagh Hahn.

Some of her organs have been damaged and for the first few days she could not even stand up and she was literally fighting for her life!

But slowly but surely she regained her strength and she can already stand on all four legs.

They are very hopeful that she will make a full recovery.

Please contact Four Paws if you can give her a home.

Dumped Dogs

Four Paws also received a call from a concerned member of the public who works in the area, where there is an open field in Azaadville, near Kagiso, Johannesburg.People just dumped their dogs in the field and left them to fend for themselves.

They also had many old scars which Four Paws believe were caused as a result of abuse. The dogs have become quite wild, but fortunately They managed to catch two of the dogs so far.

They are now in their shelter where they became tame within a few days and they are now DESPERATELY looking for homes. Please contact Four Paws if you can give them a home.

Sick Kittens

These poor kittens from Leaping Frog shopping centre were very sick and in a very poor condition.

Carole, who is feeding the colony ferals at the centre, approached Four Paws to treat them and look after them until they have recovered and then release them back, as they are very wild and already too old to tame.

Unfortunately, the management of Leaping Frog shopping centre has now informed Carole that they do not want the cats at the centre and that she is not allowed to feed them anymore!

These cats have all been sterilized and vaccinated and they are all in a good condition thanks to Carole.

All efforts to convince the management to allow the cats to stay have failed so far.

Please write a letter to the management and help us to save these cats ( [email protected] ).
