Woman arrested in connection with body found at Montecasino

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested in Douglasdale, Fourways in connection with the decomposing body that was found in the boot of a car that had been parked on the fourth floor of the Montecasino since Friday.

"She was arrested by Douglasdale police officers on Tuesday night and will appear in the Randburg Magistrate's Court today Wednesday September 25, 2013”, said Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini.
The body was discovered on Sunday after security guards noticed a foul odour coming from the car.

Lungelo Dlamini said the victim has been identified as a resident of Jukskei Park.
“The victim hasn’t been formally identified by the family. We have established the vehicle in which he was found belongs to him”, added Dlamini.

Dlamini said that police investigations led to the arrest of the woman. He could not divulge further details because the investigation is at a sensitive stage.
