October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month First Aid Counts is launching an initiative in October 2012, namely, SCA Awareness Month. Emer-G-Med paramedics witness numerous accidents where children are seriously injured or killed as a result of not being safely strapped in a child seat or seatbelts. This past weekend a 25 month old boy was ejected from a vehicle after it was involved in a rollover. Sadly the boy succumbed to his injures on impact and there was nothing paramedics could do to save him.

L.P Gas Safety Associates as well as ER24 have determined the need to educate home owners of the safety aspects and precautions that need to be undertaken when dealing with gas bottles and cylinders being used in the home.
